Overview

LRP Publications, Inc. has been a leader in the legal and professional markets for over 40 years.  As a member of our growing sales team in Horsham, PA, the Outside Sales Representative sells a variety of web accessible publications to federal agencies and legal professionals through contacting potential clients, building rapport, assessing needs, providing one-on-one and group product presentations - and working through a full sales cycle, including negotiations and closing. We use a soft-sell, consultative approach that generates top sales and continuous referrals.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for full-cycle sales – prospecting, making cold calls (phone and in person), presenting features/benefits, closing business and obtaining contracts with federal agencies
  • Develop relationships with key accounts through on-site and face-to-face sales calls and product presentations
  • Consistently close new business subject to a monthly quota
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all services offered by LRP Publications, Inc.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with clients, networking groups, professional organizations and the federal HR community in order to develop new business
  • Complete all required Sales reports including pipeline activity and/or prospects for bids and proposals within assigned territory
  • Must be able to travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region weekly and to trade shows/regional events around the US several times per year

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years successful sales experience
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able and comfortable presenting in both small and large group settings
  • Must have polished, professional presentation skills and ability to interface with and provide presentations to senior level customers both over the phone and in person
  • Must be able to keep organized, accurate records on daily activities and results
  • Ability to manage territory sales funnel to analyze and manage pipeline activity and monitor sales activity against assigned quotas
  • Proficiency in use of software (MS® Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and Web-accessible resources
  • Comfortable using hardware (laptop, LCD projector, etc.)
  • Ability to travel overnight domestically up to 75%
  • BA/BS preferred but not required
