Responsibilities

Our Editorial team is currently looking for a Document Collection Specialist to research and gather federal education public laws, rules and regulations, guidance, model policies, forms, and administrative decisions to be formatted and posted to LRP databases and websites. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, deadline-driven administrator. The Document Collection Specialist supports the Education Department at LRP and requests and maintains copyright releases and reprint permissions for our products, as well as:

  • Using a Static Data tool, creates and ensures corporate website hyperlinks and tagging are correct and functional
  • Reviews and edits html coding for proper format on electronic documents, such as Special Ed Connection® SmartStarts and Legal Watches, using NetBeans HTML Editor
  • Routinely sends Freedom of Information Requests
  • Tracks updates to pertinent statute and regulations for propriety websites and print products
  • Maintains and updates an editorial library database using Microsoft Excel, as well as a hard copy filing system
  • Formats electronic newsletters or book chapters
  • Creates Table of Cases for select print products
  • Interfaces with company department personnel, including IT and Production, as well as various external government offices and agencies

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of proven administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience managing and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines
  • Must reside within 30 miles of Palm Beach Gardens, FL

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with NetBeans HTML Editor, Wrike, and WordPress, a plus
  • Possesses proven persistence and shows a sense of urgency in getting results
