    LRP is seeking an Editor to develop advice-driven content for its ESEA Now and Title1Admin® websites and accompanying print and electronic products that provide school administrators with legal compliance and practical advice to serve at-risk students. ESEA Now is a new online service designed to meet the needs of those who administer federal programs under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Title1Admin® is a complete online solution for Title I administration and compliance, including federal guidance and policy documents, proven implementation ideas, Education Department policy letters, model forms and tools.


    The Editor has ownership of, and is responsible for, producing timely content with a focus on English learners, teacher quality/professional development, and school turnaround, among other areas. Work product will include stories, charts, tips, sample forms, interactive scenario features, and books, to name a few. Expectations for productivity in this position are high. In addition, the Editor in this position is expected to:

    • Become a subject-matter expert in the position's focus areas.
    • Learn about our subscribers and the issues that most concern them and use that information to contribute to an annual editorial calendar.
    • Contribute to a weekly information sharing memo for the Education Group.
    • Contribute to a monthly publication plan.
    • Identify and send to our Documentation Collection Specialist sample forms and tools (letters, checklists, charts) on a weekly basis.
    • Write on a weekly basis 2-3 sentence tips that offer actionable compliance advice to be used on the website and in print products.
    • Work with outside authors to update existing print products and develop new products.
    • Suggest new product ideas and eventually write ancillaries.
    • Conduct phone interviews to elicit advice-driven information.
    • Develop and maintain a pool of expert sources in the field.
    • Attend company conference as needed.

    Position Requirements

    • 4-year degree from an accredited college or university.
    • Minimum one (1) year of writing experience.
    • Knowledge of Editorial and Production processes.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of AP Style.
    • Experience working under deadlines.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Proven ability to generate story ideas and interview expert sources by phone.
    • Proven ability to write clearly and concisely and appropriately structure stories.
    • Familiarity with publishing software, specifically Adobe InDesign, along with basic Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to work a full-time schedule Monday through Friday, from the Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., office during normal operating hours.
    • Availability to travel up to five days at a time, including weekends, one to two times per year.


    Desired Qualifications:

    • Previous experience and working knowledge of Wrike project management software.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
